Driver – GIZ Nigeria (ZME Programme), Lagos

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ Nigeria) is recruiting a Driver to support the Zentrum für Migration und Entwicklung (ZME) Programme in Lagos.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting staff and visitors safely, maintaining official vehicles, and supporting administrative tasks when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport project staff, official visitors, and guests

  • Ensure vehicles are clean and in good condition (oil, water, tyres, etc.)

  • Complete vehicle logs according to GIZ standards

  • Report accidents, damage, or required repairs immediately

  • Support office/administrative tasks and transport goods when needed

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Not more than secondary school education

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years driving experience

  • Experience with international organizations is an advantage

  • Defensive driving skills and basic mechanical knowledge

Other Skills

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Good knowledge of English

  • First aid knowledge

  • Must be punctual, disciplined, trustworthy, and courteous
