TWAS-BMBF Programme: Seed Grant for New African Principal Investigators (SG-NAPI)

The TWAS-BMBF Seed Grant for New African Principal Investigators (SG-NAPI) is a funding initiative supported by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and administered by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). The programme aims to enhance scientific capacity in Sub-Saharan Africa by providing financial support to early-career scientists, particularly those in Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Eligible applicants must have completed their PhD within the last five years and recently returned home or be actively securing a position in their home country. The initiative seeks to promote scientific excellence and contribute to sustainable development in the Global South.
