PhD Studentship in Neuroimaging & Movement Science (IMaGe-PD) – Parkinson’s Disease Research

PhD Studentship in Neuroimaging & Movement Science (IMaGe-PD) – Parkinson’s Disease Research

Applications are invited from motivated and intellectually curious students for a PhD studentship titled “IMaGe-PD: Identifying metabolic and structural network substrates of gait and postural control in people with Parkinson’s disease.” The project is funded by the Reece Foundation and sits at the cutting edge of interdisciplinary Parkinson’s research.

This PhD will combine advanced neuroimaging, neuroscience, movement science, and physics to generate new insights into gait, turning, and postural control in people living with Parkinson’s disease. The successful candidate will be supported by a multidisciplinary supervisory team spanning neuroscience, movement science, and physics.

The studentship includes a comprehensive and tailored training programme, featuring specialist courses and opportunities to work in leading collaborating laboratories in the United Kingdom and Europe.

Applicants should hold (or expect to obtain) a First Class or 2:1 Honours degree or a Master’s degree in neuroscience, bioengineering, physics, biomedical engineering, movement science, or related disciplines.

UK tuition fees are fully covered. Strong international candidates are encouraged to make informal enquiries prior to application.

Application Deadline: Friday, 6 March
